Americans: Addicted to the wrong Oil

Omega 3 Fatty Acids found in Fish come in several forms and have many health benefits. The top 3 forms are listed here from least suggested to most suggested:

1. Flaxseed Oil. While flaxseed oil may help keep the blood this and help with heart ailments, it does not provide all the other benefits that Omega 3 from fish oil offers.

2. Fish. Fish like Salmon, Tuna, and Mackeral are all rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, but they may also be high in contaminents such as mercury and dioxin.

3. Fish Oil Supplements. They are easy to take and have effective concentrations of Omega 3 essential fatty acids. Most are molecularly distilled for highest potency without toxicity. This then would be the best choice.

The benefits of Fish Oil include:

Cardiovascular Health. Fish oils help to reduce plaque in the walls of our arteries, lowering our blood pressure, increasing HDL (the good cholesterol) and decreasing LDL (the bad cholesterol).

Fighting Eczema. Helps to recude symptoms of Eczema, a condition of the skin that causes redness, itching, and flaking.

Helping Arthritic Joints. Omega 3 seems to have a positive effect on treating the pain, inflammation, and stiffness of arthritis.

Elevating your Mood. Research shows that fish oil acts like an antidepressant and has been shown to illeviate the symptoms of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

Focus. Fish Oil has been used to treat ADD and ADHD in both children and adults.

So, as we in the USA seem to have an over-dependence on the oil that fuels our cars, lets shift our focus to this other oil for our optimal health: FISH OIL.
