That’s right..floss. What does flossing have to do with weight loss or muscle gain? Well, it’s like this: We know conclusively that flossing your teeth twice a day not only helps to protect against gum disease but also is very heart healthy for you. So, if someone is asking me about taking a new pill product that touts fat loss in a miraculously easy way without trying very hard, I want to know if they are following the basic principles of health and wellness first such as flossing twice a day. I suggest that they get into that habit first before deciding to embark on a pill, potion, product miracle for health and fitness.
Some other basic everyday living health and fitness tips that we should all have down as part of our everyday lifestyle:
– Eat Breakfast. This helps to increase your metabolism by 20% and kick starts your day for mental and physical success.
–Exercise moderately at least 30 minutes a day for at least 5 days a week. This is the minimum suggestion by the government’s health department. Do it!
–Get enough sleep. At least 7-8 hours per night. Lack of sleep produces hormones that cause weight gain.
–Drink at least eight, 8 oz. glasses of water per day. This helps with digestion, hydration, muscle recovery, and so much more.
–Count calories and measure your food portions. Do you balance your checkbook? Well, you should also balance and calculate your daily calories and portion amounts. Take control of this situation and don’t live on autopilot when it comes to eating.
Like they say, if it’s too good to be true it probably is. Try working hard at these basic health and wellness necessities and watch your body, mind, and spirit change for the positive!
