Decide to Make a Decision. Most of us just keep putting off making a decision and end up debating it or dwelling on it in our heads day in and day out, causing unwanted energy drain and anxiety. Don’t feel worried, guilty, or hopeless regarding needing to make a decision…just decide to make it.
Realize nothing or nobody is Perfect. You’ll go nuts if perfection is a criteria in making your decision. Nothing in this world is perfect and everything can be improved on, so make your decision, commit to it, and adjust as you go along. Stop being a perfectionist!
Focus on the Big Picture. When we think small, we are limiting our own strengths and abilities. When we think big, the small decisions don’t worry us and the big decisions don’t shake us so much. Start with the end in mind and keep your focus on the big picture.
Believe. You must be able to believe in yourself. If you don’t have the confidence in your abilities or skills, how can you ever make a decision or execute what you’ve decided to do? If you don’t believe in yourself, nobody will ever believe in you. Understand your strengths and weaknesses and realize that any decision you make will always have strenghts and weaknesses as well.
