Giving Back during the Holidays

At the very beginning of the Holiday Season I organized the inaugural Experience Noho 3K Run-Walk for Charity, and 100% of the proceeds went to Dubnoff Center for Child Development. Despite some bad weather, we had a nice turnout and raised $500. On Thanksgiving, I volunteered at LA Family Housing to help prepare and serve food to the families in transition there. It was a pleasure to interact with the families, and I wish them all the best getting back on their feet in 2012. Both Dubnoff and LA Family Housing are
shining examples of how an idea or a passion to help others can lead to fruition and positively impact the direction of people’s lives. This Holiday Season…ask yourself if you’ve done enough to give back and make an impact on somebody. That extra time and energy that you give could be the difference in making someone’s life meaningful and purposeful with hope for a brighter future.
