According to the study, our bodies don’t actually absorb as much of the fat and calories from almond consumption as the USDA has suggested all these years. (I have no information as to if the almond industry was involved in the study, but they are asking the USDA to republish the information on Almonds reflecting the lower calorie/fat content.)
Almonds can help to lower cholesterol, prevent heart disease, and assist in weight loss. They contain the most nutrients compared to all other nuts, and can be eaten raw, soaked overnight in water and eaten for breakfast, or sprinkled on foods like salads. Almond milk is also a delicous delicious and nutritious beverage.
